Weekend Gaming Doodah #11

Wowsers this week was a long one; like, will-somebody-please-just-kill-me-now kind of long. Honestly, I haven’t been this happy to see a week fuck the fuck off in quite some time, and me and this weekend are going to be all different kinds of special relationship-ey to make up for the last five days. Not in a weird way, obviously, but in an ‘I’ma grab the opportunity to play games relatively undisturbed and free from distractions’ kind of one! Oh, happy day. Oh, happy day!

Monday Morning Procrastination Pack #9

Honestly, how is it Monday again? It seems like five minutes ago that I was getting all giddy and shit because it was Friday! Still, them’s the breaks, and until we crack the whole ‘army of robots doing everything for us’ thing, Mondays are always going to be a pain the ass. Dispatches from the Dark Zone – Introduction

To (very loosely) paraphrase a certain songstress, ‘Hello from the other side, where everybody’s all up in my grille and trying to fuck my shit up‘. Tom Clancy’s The Division – Review

I’ve officially reached the end-game of Tom Clancy’s The Division, which was something of a bittersweet moment in many ways, but it does mean I can now crack on with my Full Review type witterings. Lucky you, eh!? In order to not repeat myself too much, I’ll try not to go over the same ground as my First and Second Impressions pieces, but obviously some degree of repetition’s inevitable so, like, apologies in advance.

 

Tom Clancy’s The Division was, by almost any conceivable measurement, a hugely anticipated Next-Gen release, and in many ways it’s been an ever-present “event” hovering over Next-Gen consoles since their own launch nearly two and a half years ago. Weekend Gaming Doodah #9

Most of you know the drill by now. It’s the weekend (not an extra awesome, extended chocolatey weekend, but still…..) and that, my friends, means Games. Lots and lots of games. In these glorious, work-free hours we’re free to enjoy some proper, quality time within whatever Gaming realm’s currently grabbed us by our attention-ey bits and won’t let go.

Battle of the Publishers: Introduction

Not too long ago, I was playing the ‘If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?’ Game (the answer was Pizza, obviously), but being a Gamer, it wasn’t long until I got to thinking about that kind of question in Gaming terms. More specifically, I was wondering whom I’d choose if I could only play games by one particular publisher from here on out. It turned out to be an interesting internal argument for a while – and given I didn’t reach a satisfactory answer then, I thought I’d take a crack at turning it into a thing here. A Quick Mea Culpa Thingumyjig!

I gone done goofed. See, in the UK Easter is a four day weekend (hence my level of excitement in the last edition of the WGD) and I just kind of assumed it was a four day-er everywhere. It’s not here in Brazil (whoops!) and it’s not in the US either, it would appear – so that’ll learn me to be all Anglocentric and shit.

Anyways, that’s all to explain why there’s no Monday Morning Procrastination Pack today. I figured nobody would need one on account of still being in bed and/or ramming chocolate down their gullet, and not, like, stuck at work where they’d need stuff to offset the grimness of Monday. Clearly my error is compounded by the fact that this Monday is likely worse because Friday was a holiday, and the only thing worse than a Monday is a Monday after a bigger weekend.
